I was visiting a small town that looked very similar to another town that I had stayed before. In fact, I was sure I have been in the same town before. It reminded me a bit of Santa Barbara, California. One night. I am not sure what time of the day it was, but based on what happened next it had to be during the night. I walked into a very nice house, about the size of a cottage. The house was fully furnished, and looked lived in, but there was nobody at the house. The house was empty. It was nicely furnished, it had nice built-in bookcases. There was a lamp on a table, and that was the only light source for the entire house. Apparently, the house had been donated in order to let people spend the night. No charge. But not to live there permanently. I have no idea how I knew about this. I just knew it, it was engraved inside of me. There was a very nice big bed, with white sheets, and a fluffy comforter, white of course. I went to bed right away. There were some pillows on the bed. Two of the pillows looked exactly like a couple of pillows I have in my waking life. The pillow cases looked exactly the same. I covered my entire body under the pillows, including my face. I was laying in bed on my back, with my face up. I had a room in town where I was staying. But in spur of the moment, I decided to have the experience of spending the night at this nice cottage. However, something very extraordinary took place. While I was sleeping I had a very vivid dream about the original family that lived at the house before it was donated. This was the dream: “I was sleeping at the same cottage, in the same bed. Then out nowhere a bunch of people entered the house. There was an older lady that looked like she was the matriarch. She was leading the group. She was wearing a bright red blazer, with a top with wide horizontal lines across her entire blouse. I couldn’t tell if the lines were black and white, or navy blue and white. She had long grey wavy grey hair. Her lipstick was bright red. I had no idea what their intentions were after they entered the cottage abruptly. Suddenly, I was awakened by a very loud knock on the front door. I didn’t bothered to see who was knocking at the front door. Instead, I tried to covered, and buried myself under several pillows. I think two of the pillows looked similar to some pillows I owned in m waking life, ”This was the end of my dream”. The next thing I saw was an older woman had entered the house. I took a peak from under the pillows. She told me not to get up, she just came over to pick a few things. And then she said: “You are not using the blanket the right way. You need seat plug it. And when she was about to show me. I told her not to show me since I was naked. The woman didn’t react to what I just said to her. But I was very excited, and eager to tell her about the dream I just had about the family that originally lived at the house before it was donated. She made some comments about the dream, but I don’t remember exactly what she said. She reacted in a very nonchalantly way. But not in a bad way, rather it was all family, and dismissed it. I told her that it had to be tough to just walked away and leave everything behind. And she agreed with me, and said: ”It was tough, but it was worth it”. She asked me if I was staying in town. I told her I had a place, but wanted to try staying at the cottage instead. She seemed satisfied of me staying for the night at the cottage that she had donated to the city. There was another linked dream I was at a local small joint in town. I was sitting by myself at a table. The lighting was low. There was a man to my right that caught my attention. He was around 50’s. He was wearing a tan color blazer and a pair of slacks of the same color. But what caught my attention is that he was not wearing any shoes. The man looked distracted with something in his mind. I wanted to talk to him, but I didn't know what to say. I thought maybe he was barefooted because it was a beach town, but why was he wearing nice blazer and nice pair of slacks? I was acting a bit fidgety. I was holding a pair of eyeglasses very similar to pair I used to wear back in the 80’s, or when I was in my 30’s. They were round, and brown. Very similar to Harry Porter’s eye glasses. I kept flipping the eye glasses, and the temples were very flexible. I could bend them. Then I noticed the frame was broken by nose bridge area. I also had a brief conversation with the bartender that was working at the bar. I think I mentioned something about the house that I spent the night. And we both agreed that they did a good thing by donating the house by the beach.
This dream may signify a sense of familiarity and comfort in a new or unfamiliar situation. The small town that resembles a previous place you stayed could represent a sense of déjà vu or a recurring theme in your life. The house you visit that is furnished but empty may symbolize a desire for a sense of belonging or finding a place to call home. The fact that the house is available for people to spend the night for free but not to live there permanently could suggest a temporary sense of solace or stability.
The dream about the family that originally lived in the house before it was donated may reflect your curiosity about the past and a longing to know more about the history of a place. The matriarch wearing a bright red blazer with horizontal lines across her blouse could symbolize authority or a strong presence. The loud knock on the front door interrupting your dream suggests an unexpected interruption or disturbance in your current state of rest or peace.
The older woman who enters the house afterward may represent wisdom or guidance. The comment about using the blanket in the right way could signify the need to adjust or adapt to a situation in order to find comfort. The fact that you mention being naked may suggest vulnerability or feeling exposed when faced with unexpected circumstances.
The linked dream about the man in the blazer without shoes could represent a sense of incongruity or contradiction. It may symbolize someone who appears to have a certain status or image but lacks a solid foundation. The broken eyeglasses you hold could indicate a need for clarity or a distorted perspective on a situation.
Ultimately, these dreams may reflect your desire for stability, a sense of belonging, and the need to make sense of your surroundings. They may also indicate a need to adapt and adjust to unexpected situations in order to find comfort and clarity.
